Being our first event in Nigeria we are expected to learn as we build so we want to focus on projects that support the local businesses and culture.

Eligibility
You must be 18 years or old to apply. If you are under 18, please have your parent or gardian's consent to participating.
Every team must have (minimun) 1 local Nigerian, teams up to 5 people total.
If you are online, and not in Nigeria, you can contact Hello@DLTAfrica to connect with teams looking for more members. We will help connect you.
Requirements
Every team needs to submit a pitch deck and link to demo of project. The link can be either to a video demo, download link from dropbox or google drive.

We do not take any ownership of projects submitted. You own your intelectual property.

Branded DLT Africa swag. Top 3 teams will receive t shirts and remaining will be given to runner ups.
Silicon Valley Pitch
Winning team gets $100 USD cash and 10 hours free consulting from AGENC1.io
Along with the consulting winners will get to pitch a Silicon Valley VC 2 weeks later.
The VC will be best matched to the winners project.
Community Choice
People who attend our in-person event will be able to vote for their favorite project.
This winning team will receive $100 USD on the day of the event.

How to enter
You and your team must register on Devpost to enter the Hackathon as a competitor.
We will request submissions (pitch deck and demo) up to 6 days prior to the in-person event at Osun University. During this time we will introduce your team to mentors to help prior to the in-person event.

How close is the project to a production ready product? Is there a website, application or programmed hardware? What technology was used, even if just to prototype? -
Community Focused
Does this project, product or idea help the community? If so, what percentage of the community? (does it help a lot or a little? Does this create more jobs? How does it give back or support the community that it operates in? -
Creative Concept
How creative is your idea? Is it original? Is it the airbnb of ____ or the uber of _____? Or is it completely new model? -
Trifecta Technologies
Does the project incorporate blockchain, Augmented Reality or Internet of Things? We are keen to these technologies so little extra bonus if your project leverages any of the above technologies.
